What is the most important relationship you have? In a world that changes rapidly, we need to be connected to people who care about us and love us. Family. Friends. Our Lord Jesus Christ. At Mount Olive, our mission as followers of Jesus Christ, who love, grow, and serve in His name is to help strengthen those life and faith-building connections as a family.

 

Together, we support each other as we focus on the unconditional love Jesus has for each person on this earth. Together, we celebrate the gifts of forgiveness, life, and joy that He brings us. Together, we share the joy of connecting people to Jesus. Could we connect with you to share these great gifts that God has brought us?   

 

What To Expect -  Each week you are invited to hear bible-based, Gospel-centered teaching and sing and pray in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.  Our 8:30 AM contemporary service features a band playing modern praise songs. Our 11:00 AM service follows a familiar traditional liturgy.  We share the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at our at our 8:30 service and the 2nd and 4th Sundays at our 11:00 service.  We meet between the services for our Sunday School and Christian Education time at 10:00 AM.

Common Questions - We want you to feel welcome and comfortable during your visit to Mount Olive.  Here are a few common questions and answers.

 

When Should I Arrive? Our Sunday service begins at  08:30 and 11:00 AM.  We invite you to arrive a few minutes early to meet and greet the people who are there, and find a comfortable seat in our worship area.  

 

Where Should I Go?  Mount Olive is located at 206 E Wyandotte Avenue, Shelton Wa.   We are located up the hill from the Olympic Highway South and Ace Hardware.  Our parking lot has plenty of space for families with small children, first-time guests, and those with disabilities. 

 

What Options Are There For My Children?  We have weekly Sunday School at 10AM in between services.  In addition, Confirmation Classes are offered for students and families who wish to learn more about their relationship with the Lord and what that means as they continue to grow.

 

What Should I Wear? We’re a church for people from all walks of life.  Please wear whatever is comfortable for you.  You’ll see people dressed up in their Sunday best, as well as others in jeans, cowboy boots, or sport shirts and sandals.  Come as you are!

 

When Do You Participate In The Lord’s Supper? Mount Olive celebrates the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at our 8:30 service and the 2nd and 4th Sundays at our 11:00 service.   We believe that this sacred meal is a gift from Christ to the church.  You’ll find a simple guide to the Lord’s Supper in our worship bulletins which are handed out at every service.

 

What If I’m Totally New To The Christian Faith? You have come to the right spot.  We are not here to judge you.  We’re here to share the Biblical truth of Jesus Christ and how His Gospel message of unconditional love changes everything.
